George “juri” koll (1941-2013)
The work of George Koll (1941-2013) - hilarious, controversial, insightful drawings and writings - were shown for the first time in public at the Mike Kelly Gallery at Beyond Baroque. George Koll lived an alternative life in the underground of San Francisco, and his writings and art are testimony to his life. He survived, - sometimes thrived - under the radar, longer than most, if not all of his friends and contemporaries of the Beat Generation, the 1960’s, 70’s and beyond. Juri and Saul Koll are preparing a definitive book on the project which will be debuted in 2020.
